European Inspired Australian Lager

Pilsner-style beers are brewed all over the world with the most famous being the Bohemian Pilsner and the German Pilsner.

A real Bohemian Pilsner has the colour of a shimmering burnished gold, with a complex caramel bouquet overshadowed by a fresh, spicy Saaz-hop aroma. Bohemian Pilsners usually have a bit more malt sweetness than German Pilsners to help counter the substantial hop bitterness.

In Germany the term “Pilsner” means a pale lager. Pilsners have a definite hop accent, in both its flowery bouquet and its dry finish, and an alcohol content of around 5%. A German Pilsner is a crisp, clean, refreshing lager that prominently features noble German hop bitterness.

Our Classic Pilsner is inspired by these pilsners from Bohemia and Germany. This lager exhibits a medium body with a moderate, grainy malt character. Balancing the malt sweetness is a firm drying bitterness derived from Saaz hops from the Czech Republic and Hersbrucker hops from Germany. Light floral and grassy notes finish the beer, leaving a lingering sense of satisfaction.
